EReaders & Electronic Devices – a Workshop
On Saturday, March 2, 1:30 p.m. the Library will hold a workshop for eReader downloads on any and ALL electronic devices. Space is limited! Registration required with a suggested donation of $5.00 for materials. Call soon! 585-335-6720
Upcoming Children’s Events
The second appearance of Family Movie Night returns on Thursday February 21 at 5:30 p.m. Sponsored this month by A Smile By Design and Tony’s Pizzeria, bring the kids for pizza and a drink and a movie!
On Saturday, February 23 at 1:00 p.m., Ms. Brandy will host a Winter Tea Party for a child and one guest. Tickets are required and are available at the desk with a suggested donation of $3.00 per person. Enjoy tea, special music, and a light snack. Come as you are or dress up for the occasion!
Get To Know Your Kindle!
The Library will host a workshop on Kindle and Kindle Fire to help YOU with the OWWL2Go downloadable books. The program will be held Saturday February 16 at 10 a.m. with presenter Ron Kirsop, and pre-registration is required. In addition, a materials fee of $5.00 is requested and payable at the time of registration. Keep watch for more workshops on March 2 for iPad, Nook, mobile devices, & MP3 players.
Holiday Observed on Monday
The Library will be closed on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Re-opening Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Drop your returns in the Book Drop at the back of the building, or go online to renew your materials at OWWL.org.
Kids Programs Re-Start
Books ‘n’ Kids ‘n’ Crafts for children ages 3 and up resumes on Wednesday, January 9 at 10:00 a.m. The lapsit program, Baby’s First Storytime, also returns on Thursday January 10 at 10:00 a.m. Please call ahead to register your children so Ms. Brandy will be expecting you!
Holiday Hours Announced
The Library will close on Monday and Tuesday, December 24 and 25 for Christmas. It will be open Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. For New Year’s, the Library will close Monday evening at 5 p.m., be closed January 1, and reopen on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
Santa Claus is coming to town!
You can take a picture of your child with Santa when he arrives at the Library on Saturday, December 8th at 1:00 p.m. There will be stories & treats & crafts of many kinds. And Mrs. Santa will be there too!
Necessary Targets
A powerful play about women and war will be presented in a special reading on Sunday December 2 at 5 p.m. Funded by NYS Council on the Arts & GVCA Decentralization of Livingston County.
