Security Upgrade Jan 17 until Noon

“Little Bits” For Kids Jan 13
Space is limited, so please sign up your children ages 5 to 13 for a “Little Bits” Maker Space program at the Library on Saturday January 13, 10 AM to Noon. Learn About Essential Oils Jan 20
Kate Drake has rescheduled her program on Essential Oils to Saturday January 20 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. We are very sorry the weather caused this cancellation and we hope you will be able to attend! As a reminder: There will be NO SALES involved, only helpful guidance on how to dilute, diffuse, and use your oils for calming purposes and for healthy living. Baby’s Book Buddies Start Jan 11
Ms. Brandy presents the mid-winter session of Baby’s Book Buddies beginning Thursday January 11 at 10 a.m. Please call the Library at 585-335-6720 to register your children who are ages 6 months to 3 years old. Babies who attend learn new words, songs and fingerplays, and this program instills a love of reading that will help prepare your child for success in school. All books Ms. Brandy reads in Baby’s Book Buddies also qualify for our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program! Check it out at the Library!
Visit with Santa Dec 16
Jolly Old St Nicholas will visit the Library on Saturday December 16 at 10 AM. Mrs. Claus will also be on hand while children enjoy crafts and songs and special stories with Santa. Parents are urged to bring their cameras so as to capture the moment your child is with Santa.
Holiday Hours Christmas, New Year’s
The Library will be closed on Saturday December 23 and Monday December 25, reopening on Tuesday December 26 at 10 a.m. In addition, the Library will be closed New Year’s Day, January 1, reopening on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at 10 a.m. If you are online, reviewing your Library account, and your item due dates indicate Saturday December 23 please call to let us know so we can modify your checkouts. A clerical error caused some December 2 checkouts to appear with the incorrect due date.
Crafts @ Winter in Village Dec 2
The Library will participate in Winter in the Village by offering Crafts of the Season with Ms. Brandy on December 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be a chill in the air, so take a break from your shopping and the joyous festivities to craft with your kids and enjoy some warming refreshments. Note: Be sure to use the special entrance in the Shepard Memorial Library building.
Country Craft with Tish Nov 30
Tisha Welch of Tish’s Treasures, Main Street, Dansville, will offer a special “Country Craft” for Christmas on Thursday, November 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the Library. Participants will create a lovely wall or door hanging, a perfect decoration for the holiday. Bring a friend, enjoy crafting and lively conversation at this event. Space is limited, and a materials fee of $8.00 is appreciated at time of registration.
Autumn Crafts For Kids Sat Nov 4
On Saturday, November 4, you and your children can create perfect decorations for Autumn. From 10 a.m. until noon, children and families can stop in to craft owls, pumpkins, decorated leaves and more! It’s free and open to the public, with all supplies provided.
