Book Sale Highest Total

Director Terry Dearing reported the total book sale receipts at $4022.65!  This annual event during Dogwood Week requires many volunteers and assistance from the Library’s many supporters.  Last year’s receipts were $3707 and the increase is likely from the large number of excellent nonfiction titles that were available.

The Library Board of Trustees and Staff members are very appreciative of the support of this fundraiser.

41st Annual Used Book Sale May 15

Monday at 10 a.m. is the start of the 41st Annual Used Book Sale during Dogwood Week.  There are hundreds of items from which to choose — jigsaw puzzles, great non-fiction, children’s books, the best in fiction, and many, many paperbacks for your enjoyment.

Director Terry Dearing reminds all shoppers to leave their boxes outside or in their cars.  The Library will provide boxes and bags.  This first day of used book shopping is very crowded, so please be patient, ask volunteers to hold your planned purchases at the check out table, and enjoy!

The Annual Used Book Sale is supported by The Friends of the Library, Staff members, and additional volunteers.  This year funds received will be used toward additional downloadable books.
