The Friends of the Library announced today that the $5000 Fence Challenge was reached — and exceeded! Over the past three weeks, donations had reached a total of $4607.50 when additional gifts of $500 and $5000 were received. These combined with the challenge gift of $5000 brought the total raised to $15,107.50!
Friends President Jamie Blum expressed her warmest gratitude to all those who supported the Challenge. The quote for completion of the fence along Main Street is $13,812. The additional amount donated will be used toward repairing the most damaged areas of the fence which has at least 15 points of injury and rusting.
