This month we celebrate with Natalie Gray, our very first new reader to be recognized for “reading” 1000 books! Natalie began the Library’s program in 2017, and her very favorite books center around the Princess theme! She will be entering kindergarten this Fall. Families can enjoy crafts and refreshments! Browse the children’s book collection and learn more about your public library! Don’t miss this special event that raises community awareness about the importance of the library in the life of a child, and promotes library services and programs for children and families.
Ms. Mary Ellen presents the Winter session of Baby’s Book Buddies held every Wednesday at 10 a.m. This early literacy program for those ages 6 months to 3 years old instills a love of reading in your child that will help prepare him or her for success in school. Ms. Mary Ellen wants to know your child is coming so please call the Library at 585-335-6720 to register. Your Baby will learn new words, songs and fingerplays, and there is even space for a “play” session with new friends. All the books Ms. Mary Ellen reads in Baby’s Book Buddies also qualify for our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program! You can sign up for 1000 Books when your child attends Baby’s Book Buddies.
