DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss this week-long ‘Discovery Workshop’ with Jeff Swift from Swift Custom Metal. For children ages 8-12. This workshop will teach children the traditional process of sand molding and casting of aluminum. Children will learn about the history of making metal\, metallurgy\, and examples of art casting. They will also learn the pattern making molding investment of the patterns in sand and then the crowd favorite the pour! Children participate in heating metal and the kids will help pour their very own molds off in the front yard of the library. This program is sponsored by the Dansville Lions Club. Space is limited!
